Ingredients
- 1/4 c. powdered alum
- cucumbers
- 1/8 c. pickling spices
- 1/4 c. salt
- pure vinegar
- 8 c. sugar
Directions

1Put powdered alum in gallon jar.

2Slice cucumbers to fill jar. Cover with cold water.

3Let sit 24 hours.

4Drain and rinse 2 or 3 times.

5Put pickling spices and salt in jar with pickles and cover with pure vinegar.

6Let sit for 6 weeks in cool place, then drain off vinegar and add sugar.

7Let sit 3 weeks.

8Ready to eat.

9Never seal jar.

10Keep in refrigerator.
