Never-Fail Pie Crust

- 4 1/2 c. flour
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 3/4 c. shortening
Directions

1Sift flour, sugar and salt into a large bowl.

2Beat the egg and combine with vinegar and water.

3Cut in shortening and sprinkle with egg and vinegar, then mix all ingredients together.

4With dough, form a ball.

5Wrap in wax paper and chill for 30 minutes before using.

6This dough can be kept in refrigerator for up to a week.

7Or, can divide into 4 parts (1 part makes 1 pie).

8Wrap each securely and freeze until ready to use.

9Makes 4 (9-inch) pie shells.
