  • 1 1/4 c. shortening
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 5 Tbsp. ice water
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar

    Combine egg, water and vinegar.

    Add all at once to flour mixture.

    Blend until flour is moistened.

    Yields three (9-inch) pie shells.
