- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 1/4 c. water
Directions

1Mix and bake in same plate.

2Sift flour and salt in pie plate. Boil shortening and water.

3Add hot mixture to flour.

4Mix with fork until all flour is moist.

5Work with hands and pat into shape.

6Flute edges.

7Prick with fork and bake at 450° for 10 to 12 minutes.

8Makes one (8-inch) pie shell.
