- 4 c. flour
- 1 2/3 c. shortening
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1/2 c. cold water
Directions

1Mix flour, sugar and salt.

2Cut in shortening until consistency of small peas.

3Beat egg; mix with water and vinegar. Add at once to flour mixture; mix together with fork.

4Divide into 4 balls of equal size.

5Refrigerate for 1/2 hour while making filling.

6Yields 2 double crust pies.
