- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 3 egg whites
Directions

1Cook until clear and thick the sugar, cornstarch and water. Let cool.

2Beat egg whites with a pinch of salt plus vanilla until it forms a soft peak; add slowly 3 or 4 tablespoons sugar.

3Beat until it forms peaks, then add to the cool cornstarch mixture; beat again until it looks like whipped cream.

4Put on top of your favorite pie and bake 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown at 350°.
