- 2 1/2 c. plain flour
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 3 Tbsp. oil
- 1/2 c. warm (lukewarm) buttermilk
- 1/4 c. lukewarm water
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in a small amount of lukewarm water, then pour into buttermilk.

2Sift together the dry ingredients and make dough by adding oil and buttermilk mixture.

3Roll out dough and cut into biscuits.

4Let raise for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

5Bake at 450° for 8 to 10 minutes, until golden brown.
