- 2/3 c. cold water
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cream of tartar
Directions

1Separate eggs.

2Beat egg yolks 5 minutes.

3Add water and sugar, beating 4 minutes.

4Sift together flour and salt; stir into yolks.

5Beat egg whites frothy, add cream of tartar and beat until they hold peaks.

6Fold into yolk mixture.

7Bake at 350° for about 1 hour in tube pan.
