New England Cornbread Stuffing

  • 1/2 lb. ground sausage, fully cooked, drained and crumbled
  • 2 c. cornbread stuffing
  • 3/4 c. dried cranberries
  • 1/2 c. walnuts or pecans, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 to 3/4 c. chicken broth

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly. For moister stuffing you may need to add more broth. Place stuffing in a casserole that has been sprayed with nonstick vegetable oil.

    Cover and bake for 30 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
