  • 12 slices bread, crust trimmed and cubed
  • 4 c. milk, scalded
  • 6 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • salt and pepper
  • mushrooms and onions (optional)
