  • 2 quarts water
  • 1 turkey leg or ham bone and scraps or 1-1/2 pounds pork roast cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 (28 ounces) can whole, peeled tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon rubbed sage
  • 2 teaspoons salt, optional
  • 1/4 cup small pasta, such as digitali
