- 4 cups confectioners sugar
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- Food coloring (optional)
Directions

1Sift sugar into medium bowl.

2Add corn syrup, 3 tablespoons water and vanilla; and whisk to blend.

3Add more water 1 teaspoon at a time, until icing has a smooth, yet thick consistency.

4Tint with food coloring if desired.

5Pipe decoratively onto cookies or thin with a little water and paint over cookies.

6(Keep icing covered with plastic wrap to prevent it from drying out.)
