- 4 c. sifted flour
- 1 c. margarine
- 3/4 c. Crisco
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 tsp. salt (optional)
Directions

1Blend shortening with two knives or pastry blender until coarse textured.

2Add well beaten egg with 1/2 cup water and the salt.

3Roll into ball.

4Divide into 4 portions.

5(Can be put in pie tin and frozen, if desired.)

6Roll one portion for prebaked crust for cream or lemon pies.

7Prick with fork before baking in a 375° oven until nicely browned.

8Cool and pour in desired filling.
