  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 5 medium apples, peeled and chopped

    Cream shortening and sugar.

    Add unbeaten egg and apples.

    Mix together with spoon.

    Sift flour, cinnamon and soda.

    Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.

    Top of cake will have a crunchy top.
