- 1 c. butter
- 2/3 c. sugar (extra fine granules)
- 2 1/2 c. flour (1/2 c. for kneading)
Directions

1Soften butter at room temperature and cream with sugar.

2Add 2 cups of flour, then add 1/2 cup extra flour, if needed, while kneading with hands.

3(Only add flour until dough cracks, not crumbles.)

4Place on cookie sheet and press and smooth until it covers the pan.

5Sprinkle with sugar; prick all over with fork. Bake in slow oven at 275° for almost an hour (if 1/2-inch thick). Should be light golden brown when finished.

6Cut into squares while still hot, then let cool on pan.

7Great, easy dessert.
