  • 34 cup sugar
  • 12 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 12 cup pecan pieces
  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 apples, sliced & peeled (Roman Beauty or Winesap)
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1 unbaked pie shell

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350F

    Mix sugar, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, pecans, & salt.

    Stir in egg whites.

    Toss in apple slices until well coated.

    Pour mixture into piecrust and bake 30-45 minutes.

    Notes/Variations: To avoid burnt crust, cover crust with foil for first 20-25 minutes of baking.
