- 2 tsp. unsalted butter, softened
- 1 lb. unsalted butter, softened
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. blanched almonds, slivered or chopped
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2Grease 10 x 15-inch jelly-roll pan with 2 teaspoons butter.

3Cream butter and sugar together.

4Beat in eggs, one at a time.

5Beat in vanilla and flour.

6Mix in almonds. Spread batter evenly into the pan.

7Bake 20 to 25 minutes until the surface is light gold color.

8Let cool in the pan.

9With a sharp knife, cut into small squares.

10Makes about 2 dozen very rich buttery cookies.
