  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 5 room temperature eggs
  • 1 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 1/3 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. almond extract

    Mix flour and shortening at low speed.

    Add eggs, 1 at a time. Mix well. Sift sugar, salt and baking powder.

    Add to cream mixture.

    Beat well.

    Add almond flavoring and beat for 2 minutes at low speed.

    Bake for 1 hour at 325° in a lightly greased and floured Bundt pan.

    Sprinkle with powdered sugar when cooled.
