  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. peeled, diced apples (Granny Smith are good)
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 2 c. whipped topping

    Beat sugar and eggs together.

    Add vanilla and dry ingredients.

    Fold in apples and nuts.

    Put in greased 9-inch pie pan.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes; cool.

    Mix whipped topping and pineapple; spread on cooled pie.
