  • 1 tsp. ground allspice
  • 1 Tbsp. liquid coffee
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1 c. nuts
  • 1/2 c. shortening

Directions

    Mix shortening and sugar well; add eggs; add milk and flour. Then add all of the spices and coffee.

    Mix well; add raisins and nuts.

    Bake in round layer pans at 325° until done.
