Nut-Apricot Rolls

Ingredients

  • 6 c. flour (piled high, not level)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 6 Tbsp. or 8 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 c. warm milk
  • 1/2 lb. oleo
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 pt. sour cream
  • 2 pkg. dry yeast
  • 3 lb. English walnuts, apricot or any filling

Directions

    Mix all ingredients together except the yeast (yeast in warm milk goes in last.)

    Mix nuts with sugar as sweet as you want. Add milk slowly and add 1 teaspoon vanilla.

    Let dough raise for 1 hour, covered, in warm place.

    Take off small piece of dough; roll it out and put in filling.

    Roll up; bake 1/2 hour.

    Put in 350° oven for 30 to 35 minutes.

    Beat up 1 egg, drop of water and pinch of sugar.

    Brush on rolls right before you put back in oven.
