- 1 stick margarine
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. each: soda and baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. finely chopped pecans
Directions

1Cream margarine.

2Add sugar gradually, then add eggs and vanilla.

3Sift together flour, soda, baking powder and salt.

4Add to other ingredients alternately with buttermilk.

5Mix well and then add nuts.

6Pour in greased and floured cake pan.

7Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes or until done.
