  • 1 c. butter or oleo
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 5 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 lb. white raisins
  • 1 qt. nuts
  • 1 c. fruit juice
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • coconut

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar; add eggs.

    Mix dry ingredients together.

    Add juice alternately with flour.

    Add nuts and raisins last.

    Bake in a tube pan.

    Place pan of water over top of cake for 2 hours, baking at 250°.

    Then take water out and raise heat to 300° and bake about 1 1/2 hours or until toothpick comes out dry.
