- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. sweet milk
- 2 c. nuts (black walnuts, hickory nuts, pecans)
Directions

1Cream butter; add sugar and eggs.

2Beat well.

3Add flour, salt and baking powder with milk.

4Add vanilla and chopped nuts that have been lightly sprinkled with flour.

5Pour into greased, floured tube pan or two loaf pans.

6Bake at 325° for about 60 minutes.

7A toothpick will come out clean when it is done.
