Ingredients

  • 1 lb. butter (1/2 margarine and 1/2 butter)
  • 3 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 c. plain flour
  • 1 c. self-rising flour
  • 10 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • nuts to taste

Directions

    Cream butters and sugar in one bowl.

    Mix rest of ingredients together in another bowl (except vanilla and nuts).

    Slowly add ingredients to butter and sugar.

    Add vanilla when all mixed.

    Add nuts to mix slowly.

    Put in cold oven.

    Cook 1 hour at 325° in 2 tube pans.
