  • 4 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 c. shortening or oleo
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 small cake yeast
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 3 Tbsp. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1 lb. walnuts, ground fine
  • 1 c. powdered sugar

Directions

    Cut shortening and flour as you do for pie dough.

    Dissolve yeast in warm water.

    Add eggs, sugar, salt and sour cream.

    Mix and add with flour and shortening.

    Refrigerate overnight.
