- 1 1/2 c. (3 sticks) butter, divided
- 1 egg
- 2 c. flour
- 3/4 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 c. honey
- 1/4 c. heavy cream
- 1 (12 oz.) can lightly salted mixed nuts
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Butter a 13 x 9 x 3-inch baking pan. Set aside.

3In a large bowl of an electric mixer, beat 1 cup (2 sticks) butter with granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

4Beat in egg and vanilla.

5Stir in flour until well mixed.

6Pat evenly into prepared pan.

7Bake until edges are brown and center looks dry, about 15 minutes.

8Remove to a wire rack while preparing topping.
