- 3 cups unbleached flour
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 1 12 tablespoons baking powder
- 34 teaspoon salt
- 34 cup cold butter
- 13 cup heavy cream
- 23 cup maple syrup
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350*.

2Oil and flour a baking sheet.

3Ina large bowl, with a fork, combine flour, nuts, salt and baking powder.

4With food processor or by hand, cut in butter until it resembles coarse meal.

5Whisk together maple syrup and cream.

6Form a well in the center of the dry ingredients and slowly pour in the liquids; mix lightly with fork just until the mixture holds together in a soft dough.

7Turn dough onto floured surface and knead gently eight times.

8With lightly floured rolling pin, roll the dough to 2 inches thick.

9Cut with a biscuit cutter and place on baking sheet about 2 inches apart.

10Brush with additional maple syrup.

11Bake 15 - 20 minutes or until golden.
