  • 6 c. dry bread cubes or crumbs
  • 1/2 to 1 c. giblets, cooked and cut up
  • 1/2 c. almonds, chopped
  • 1/2 c. raw sunflower seeds
  • 1 c. celery, chopped
  • 2/3 c. onion, chopped
  • 1/3 c. melted butter
  • 1 c. chicken broth
  • 2 Tbsp. Spike or any seasoning salt

Directions

    In a large bowl, toss together the bread cubes or crumbs, giblets, almonds, sunflower seeds, celery and onion.

    In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, chicken broth and Spike or seasoning salt.

    Pour over the bread cubes mixture and toss to combine well.

    Place in a buttered baking dish and bake, covered with foil for the last hour the poultry is cooking.

    If you want crunchy stuffing, remove the foil for last half hour of baking. Serves 4 to 6.
