- 2 23 cups oatmeal (not instant)
- 34 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 14 cup plus 1tablespoon vegetable shortening (oleo or butter can be used)
- 13 cup brown sugar, packed
- 3 -4 tablespoons milk
Directions

1Grease baking sheet.

2Mix oatmeal, flour and baking powder.

3Cut in the fat until you have coarse crumbles.

4mix in sugar and enough milk for a firm dough.

5Knead for 2 minutes.

6Roll dough to 1/4 inch thick and cut into circles.

7Bake 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees until golden brown.

8Serve warm.
