Ingredients
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 4 Tbsp. lukewarm water
- 2 c. boiling water
- 1 c. rolled oats
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
- 4 to 4 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon (optional)
Directions

1Soften the yeast in lukewarm water.

2Pour boiling water over oats in a large bowl and let stand until lukewarm.

3Add oil, yeast, salt, sugar and nuts and mix well.

4Add the flour and mix thoroughly.

5Knead on a floured surface until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise until doubled in bulk.

6Knead well and place in 2 greased loaf pans.

7Let rise until doubled in bulk.

8Bake at 300° for about 40 minutes or until done.

9May grease top with oleo or oil.
