  • 1 1/4 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. oatmeal
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/3 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Pour the boiling water over the oatmeal. Let stand 20 minutes. Mix the margarine, white sugar, brown sugar, eggs, flour, soda, cinnamon, salt and vanilla. Add oatmeal. Mix and bake in 9 x 13-inch greased pan 30 minutes in 350° oven.
