Oatmeal Peanut Butter-Chocolate Chip Cookies

- 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 1 (18 oz.) jar chunky peanut butter
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 6 c. quick cooking oats (uncooked)
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate morsels
Directions

1Beat butter and peanut butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until fluffy.

2Gradually add sugars, beating well.

3Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.

4Combine oats and baking soda; add to butter mixture, mixing well.

5Stir in chocolate morsels (by hand). Drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.

6Bake at 350° for 9 to 10 minutes.

7Cool on cookie sheets for 5 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

8Yields 7 dozen.
