- 1 cup butter or 1 cup margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups quick oats
- 3/4 cup pecans (finely chopped)
Directions

1Cream together butter, sugar, and brown sugar.

2Mix in egg.

3Mix in baking soda, cinnamon, and flour.

4Stir in vanilla.

5Blend in oats and nuts.

6Roll into walnut sized balls (about 1 inch).

7Chill at least 1 hour.

8Place balls on greased cookie sheet and press flat with glass buttered and dipped in sugar.

9Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
