- 3 1/2 lb. small okra pods
- 1 small garlic clove for each jar
- 3 small hot peppers for each jar (if desired)
- 2 c. white vinegar
- 4 c. water
- sprig of fresh dill or 2 tsp. dill seed
- 1/3 c. salt
Directions

1Wash okra and pack firmly in hot sterilized jars.

2In each jar, put a clove of garlic and hot peppers if you wish.

3Make a brine with the vinegar, water, dill seed and salt.

4Boil.

5Pour boiling brine over okra, leaving 1/4-inch headspace at top.

6Seal. Process for 10 minutes in a boiling water bath.

7Let ripen several weeks before using.

8Makes 6 pints.
