  • 1/3 c. white sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 sticks margarine or 1/2 lb. butter
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • plain flour (to stiffen as cookie dough)

Directions

    Mix all ingredients and make into 8 to 10 balls.

    Partially roll out on floured board.

    Put in round cake pans and flatten out with hand to cover bottom of pan.

    Bake until brown.

    Turn out on cake rack and completely cool.

    Stack, putting cooked, dried apples on as you stack.
