  • 2 c. milk
  • 2 eggs (whole)
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • raisins (optional)
  • 4 slices buttered toast
  • nutmeg to taste

Directions

    Break buttered toast into pieces; place in bottom of buttered dish or pan.

    Beat eggs; add milk, sugar and vanilla.

    Pour over bread; add raisins and nutmeg.

    Bake in preheated 325° oven until firm (about 20 to 30 minutes).
