Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. onion, finely chopped
- 1 1/2 c. celery, finely chopped
- 1/3 c. butter or margarine
- 8 c. dry bread cubes (1/2-inch)
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 1/2 tsp. sage or substitute 1 tsp. more of other
- 1/4 c. water or chicken broth
- 1 egg, well beaten
Directions

1Saute onion and celery in butter in a skillet until tender. Add mixture to bread cubes which have been placed in a large pan. Sprinkle with seasonings which have been mixed together and mix well. Add water and egg.

2Toss together with forks.

3Stuff thawed bird and immediately roast.
