- 3 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 6 eggs
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. margarine, melted
- 1 tsp. butter extract
- 2 unbaked pie shells
Directions

1Blend sugar, flour, salt and eggs.

2Stir just enough to blend eggs and ingredients together.

3Add buttermilk and vanilla.

4Stir just to blend.

5Do not overbeat.

6Add margarine and butter extract; stir quickly.

7Pour into pie shells.

8Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 40 to 60 minutes or until center of custard is set. Allow to cool before cutting.

9Bake a day ahead if possible.
