Old Fashioned Cloverleaf Rolls

Ingredients
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 2 c. scalded milk
- shortening about the size of a walnut
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
- 5 to 6 c. flour
- 1 c. warm water
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in water.

2Add sugar to yeast and water.

3Scald milk; while cooling, add shortening.

4Add flour to milk.

5Stir, then add flour as needed to make a soft dough.

6Turn out onto floured board and knead about 10 minutes.

7Cover and let rise. Punch down and let rise again.

8Form into cloverleaf rolls in muffin tin.

9Let rise until almost double.

10Bake in 375° oven about 30 minutes.

11Brush with butter.
