- 2 c. butter
- 7 c. chopped onions (6 to 8 onions)
- 9 c. diced celery (2 bunches)
- 25 slices white bread (2 lb. loaf)
- 1 Tbsp. nutmeg
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
- 2 tsp. pepper
- 2 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 4 eggs
Directions

1Fry onions and celery in butter until tender.

2Toast bread until dark brown. Soak bread in cold water until soft.

3Remove bread and squeeze until dry.

4Put into bowl.

5Add onions, celery and butter.

6Sprinkle with seasonings that have been mixed together.

7Mix together. Add slightly beaten eggs.

8Makes enough stuffing for 14 to 16 pound turkey.
