- 2/3 c. butter
- 3 eggs
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/3 c. milk
- 1 c. finely chopped pecans
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 c. sifted cake flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream the butter, gradually adding sugar and beat until light and fluffy.

2Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

3Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Repeat sifting and add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour.

4Mix just until blended.

5Gently stir in pecans and vanilla.

6Spoon batter into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until cake tests done.

7Cool in pan 10 minutes.

8Remove from pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
