Old Fashioned Rice Pudding

  • 1/3 c. uncooked rice
  • 4 c. scalded milk
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. butter

Directions

    Combine all ingredients in a 7 x 11 baking pan and place in a 300° oven.

    Bake for 1 1/2 hours or until rice is perfectly tender and pudding is thick and creamy, not dry.

    Stir every 15 minutes with a fork, carefully turning under the brown top and scraping the edges down.

    Serve hot or cold.
