  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. olive spice

Directions

    Mix baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and olive spice in small bowl; set aside.

    Mix remaining ingredients in large bowl; pour in baking dish.

    Sprinkle cinnamon, baking soda, nutmeg, cloves and olive spice over top of cake.

    Bake at 350° until golden brown.
