  • 12 slices thin bread, both sides buttered
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • 2/3 c. diced ham
  • 1 diced bell pepper
  • 1 diced medium onion
  • 1 pkg. shredded Swiss cheese
  • 12 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. milk

Directions

    Line a 9 x 13 x 2-inch casserole with 6 slices buttered bread. On top of each, place 1 slice of American cheese.

    Sprinkle with ham, pepper and onion.

    Place 6 remaining slices of buttered bread on top and sprinkle with Swiss cheese.

    Mix 12 eggs and milk in blender.

    Pour over entire casserole and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes, then down to 350° and bake for 50 minutes.
