  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 5 Tbsp. instant rice
  • 15 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 medium head cabbage
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 can water
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar

Directions

    Cut up cabbage and place in buttered 2-quart casserole dish. Brown meat and onions, add seasonings and salt to taste.

    Simmer and drain.

    Add rice, soup and water, tomato sauce, sugar and vinegar.

    Simmer 5 minutes longer.

    Place over cabbage (do not stir), cover and bake at 350° for 2 hours.
