Ingredients
- 1 c. oil
- 1 c. honey
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 5 or 6 c. old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
- 1 c. wheat germ
- 1 c. rolled wheat flakes
- 1 c. sunflower, pumpkin and/or sesame seeds
- 1 c. nonfat dry milk powder
- 1 c. shredded coconut
- 1 c. unsalted nuts (almonds, pecans, walnuts, etc.)
- 1 c. raisins, dried apricots, etc.
Directions

1Pour liquid ingredients into a large roasting pan and heat in 250° oven for 10 minutes or until mixture is warm and thinned; stir to blend.

2Mix together the dry ingredients except fruit. Remove roasting pan from oven and slowly add dry ingredients to liquid mixture in pan.

3Stir until well blended.

4Spread evenly in pan and return to oven.

5Bake approximately 2 hours, stirring every 20 minutes.

6Granola should be golden brown.

7Remove from oven.

8When cool, add fruit, if desired.

9Makes about 12 cups.
