Ingredients

  • 1 yeast cake
  • 1/2 c. warm water
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 4 Tbsp. melted shortening
  • 4 Tbsp. sugar
  • enough flour to handle

Directions

    Mix together and turn out on floured board.

    Add flour as needed for kneading.

    Knead and cut out as biscuits.

    Put in greased pan, cover with waxed paper.

    Let rise for about 2 hours. Cook in 425° oven until done.
