Onion Beef Roast

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Beef Roast (3 To 5 Lbs)
  • 1 envelope Onion Soup Mix
  • 1/4 cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Dry Mustard (I Have Used A Squirt Of Regular Mustard)
  • 13 cups Soy Sauce
  • 3 Tablespoons Flour Mixed Into 1 1/2 Cups Of Water

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350F.

    Place roast in a dutch oven (no need to brown beforehand).

    Sprinkle roast with onion soup, brown sugar and mustard.
  4. 4
    Pour soy sauce on, and then the flour/water mixture.

    Cover and bake for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

    This makes its own brown gravy to serve with mashed potatoes.

    (I use a chuck roast.)
