Onion Cake Bread

- 1 (14 oz.) hot roll mix
- 3 c. thinly sliced onion
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 3 eggs
- 2 c. sour cream
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Prepare roll mix according to package directions.

3While dough rises, slice onion.

4Saute onion in margarine until limp and golden, about 20 minutes.

5Cool slightly. Beat eggs and sour cream until blended.

6Add salt and stir sour cream mixture into onion.

7When dough has doubled, punch down and let it rest 10 minutes.

8Then roll out to an 11 x 15-inch rectangle.

9Line a 9 x 13-inch pan with the dough, turning up 1-inch edge on all sides.

10Pour onion mixture into the dough-lined pan.

11Bake 55 minutes or until onion custard-like mixture is set. Serves 12.
